Science Writing
Mentorship Program
The Science Writing Mentorship Program aims to benefit the students based in India interested in neuroscience and science communication.
The mentees will be matched with a mentor (a science communicator) for a period of 6 weeks, to work on writing a sci-comm article on different areas in neuroscience, The article will be published in The Mind Gala's official Neuroscience Book, which will ultimately be translated to different Indian languages.

- Are currently enrolled or have completed an undergraduate degree or higher.

- Have previous experience in science communication. Mentoring experience is desired but not compuslosry

Who will be mentoring the students to write the articles?Senior PhD students and post-doctoral fellows in India with commendable science communication skills will be tasked to mentor students. In some cases, career science communicators can also be hired.

I am not a student anymore can I apply as a mentee?Yes. If you have already completed undergradute degree you are eligible to apply as the mentee.

Is there any fees to participate in science writing mentorship program?No. The entire program is free of cost and no charge will be incurred at any time.

I do not have any experience in science writing. Can I apply as a mentee?Yes. As a mentee you will be taught to write articles in neuroscience. Hence, anybody with little to no experience can also apply.

What qualifications do I need to become a mentor?The ideal mentor at The Mind Gala Science Writing Mentorship Program is someone with experience in science communication/writing.
